Being who you are means everything to Helen. For her, #BeWhoYouAre means: to be creative and authentic. Helen’s creative side can be seen in her passion for creating and her genuine appreciation of the art deco in Andaz London.
Helen has faced different challenges that have made her who she is today, including moving to a new country, however, she is fortunate enough that through these experiences, she’s been able to meet new people who have become friends and helped her business flourish into what it is today.
Three words Helen uses to describe Andaz London are: ‘Creative’, ‘Eclectic’ and ‘Inclusive’. She particularly enjoys the location of Andaz London, describing it as a place where you can do what you want and wear what you like. With little pockets of change constantly popping up, Helen never gets bored as she always has somewhere new to go.
‘Andaz’ translates to ‘Personal Style’ and the London hotel exemplifies heaps of this – nowhere more so than in its stunning lobby. Refurbished in 2018, the lobby smoothly and creatively blends the hotel’s Victorian heritage with the modern East London of today.
The feature wall by the front desk is by a local art collective called Le Gun, and the Rhino is work by famous local graffiti artist Otto Schade; the original art is in Shoreditch and it was replicated in the Andaz London lobby.
