Iria Martínez Tedín

Meet Iria, the Executive Assistant Housekeeper at Andaz London. Iria is responsible for prioritising the comfort of guests during their stay and managing the housekeeping team’s operations.

Iria describes that she doesn’t know how to be anyone but herself, as she believes that your true self is an amalgamation of everything you have experienced in your past. Working through the pandemic is something that has a huge part to play, as people around her became family along the difficult period. Getting into housekeeping after working in the front office is a big part of who she is as a person.

At Andaz London, Iria is able to be her unscripted, authentic self, allowing her to approach the role of EAH with confidence. She is inspired by the team at the hotel, who exemplify hard working attitudes and always go the extra mile.

Three words Iria uses to describe the Andaz brand are ‘Multicultural’, ‘Vibrant’ and ‘Fun’, defined by the people who work there. Outside of the hotel, she enjoys the multiculturality of East London culture, both in the diversity of people and the types of food you can encounter – it never gets boring.

For Iria, #BeWhoYouAre at Andaz London is important because she does not feel pressure to change as a person while providing 5-star service. She explains that the hotel redefines luxury service by allowing her to dress in a way that best fits her personality: unfiltered, expressive and open-minded.
